Today, on the last day of the festival, legendary screenwriter Salim Khan was honoured with Special IFFI Award that is, Indian Film Personality of the Year for his contribution to Indian cinema. He's a nobody? Are you sane? Which world do you live in? I pity your ignorance. Salim Khan is the best screenwriter in the history of Bollywood. He has written 40+ movies from 1960s-1990s. All his movies were back to back hits. He's the trendsetter for writers and cinematographers in Hindi film industry (Bollywood). Before writing, he acted in 30 movies.

He is the creative mind behind Sholay, Deewar, Zanjeer, Don, Mr. India, Shaan,...and so many other iconic movies. He created the character of Amitabh as an angry young man and recommended Amitabh for movies when Amitabh was a no one. He created Gabbar, Mugambo, Don, Shakal, and a hundred different characters in super hit movies. He's the writer of historically famous dialogues...one of them being "Mere paas maa hai" picturized on Shashi Kapoor and Amitabh Bachchan. AR Rahman spoke this dialogue when he accepted his Oscar awards.

Some of his popular dialogues: "Don ko 11 mulkoun ki police dhoondh rahi hai, lekin Don ko pakarna mushkil hei nahin namumkin hai". (Don)

He is a highly educated man. He has a Masters in Economics as well as Law Degree. His family has contributed so much towards Bollywood in all aspects such as acting, writing, directing, producing.

He's a nobody. Sallu buying awards for and launching careers of talent-less family members (just like himself)
