One of the most prestigious events of Indian film Industry, the 50th International Film Festival of India commenced this week with a bang. However, a major goof up done on the website of IFFI 2019 came under the media scrutiny. Recently, a user noticed that in the film credits of a Bengali film, Ganashatru, Gulzar’s photo was placed instead of Satyajit Ray under his name. This lead to the photo going viral on social media. The user shared it on social media that IFFI had mixed up Gulzar and Satyajit Ray’s photo.

Later, as per reports, the mix up was rectified. However, by then the wrong image placement had gone viral on social media. On the homepage of IFFI 2019, Satyajit Ray’s film named Ganashatru, based on Henrik Ibsen’s play An Enemy of the People, was described and the credits were mentioned. However, under Satyajit Ray’s name, photo of Bollywood lyricist and writer Gulzar was placed. The user took a screenshot and complained about the same on social media. This lead to a frenzy. However, the error was soon rectified.

The goof up picture is available on various social media platforms and it has gone viral all over the internet ever since it was reported. Now, the error is no longer there on the homepage and the correct photo is placed.
