Its Official! Trisha and Vijay Sethupathi's 96 to be remade in Telugu with Samantha and Sharwanand
Trisha Krishnan and Vijay Sethupathi’s much-talked about film, 96 which had released last year in October, opened to terrific response. Trisha, a confident performer in every sense of the word, had managed to impress the audience with her strong appearance in the film. Prem Kumar, a cameraman turned director, perfectly managed to hit the right chord by putting the romantic love story out there for the moviegoers with the lead stars. Now, here's an awesome news for Telugu audience. Sri Venkateshwara Creations just announced that one of the best films of 2018 will be remade in Telugu with Samantha and Sharwanand.
Tollywood stars, Samantha Akkineni and Sharwanand Myneni will be playing the lead roles in the Telugu remake of Tamil film, 96. The makers of the film made a huge announcement about the same on Twitter. The tweet reads, "Happynnounce our Production No. 34 starring Sharwanand and @Samanthaprabhu2. Directed by C. Prem Kumar. Shoot starts this March. #SVC34" The shooting of the film is set to begin in March. More details about the film are awaited.
The story of 96 revolved around Ram (Vijay Sethupathi) and Janu (Trisha), who meet each other at their reunion after 22 years. The 96′ batch reunion changes everything between the former couple. It remains to see if Samanth and Sharwanand manage to recreate the same magic on the big screen for the Telugu audience.
