Janhvi Kapoor will make her Bollywood debut with the film Dhadak. She stars alongside Ishaan Khatter in the film.

Directed by Shashank Khaitan, the film is an adaptation of Marathi film Sairat. Dhadak is slated to hit the screens on July 20, 2018.

In an interview with Reuters, Janhvi Kapoor was asked if she reads comments on social media. The actor was asked what does she have to say about the hate comments she receives.

Kapoor answered, "I do, oh God, I do. Everyone tells me not to. But I don’t want to be one of those delusional people who think they are doing everything right and everything’s going good. Because everyone around me has been so positive, that I wonder, “Is this too good to be true?”. Then I go online and read these comments, and then I am like 'S**t, I’m really the scum of the earth'. I think of what that person must be going through and thinking, that they might feel better by pulling someone else down. No one would say this to your face, but social media makes us all faceless, and you don’t get called out for this."

She added, "And I’ve noticed a pattern, where this kind of comment gets a thousand times more likes than any positive comment would get. It’s horrible that people are reacting more to negativity than positivity. And then there are these news portals and websites which pick them as news with “Twitter says” and “Instagram says”. Twitter and Instagram are also saying these amazing things, but they’ll never write about that. Because they know they’ll get more views if they talk about something negative. I think it is shitty that they are encouraging this cycle of negativity and frustration in people. There must be so much dirt in your mind… I don’t know. Just be chill. Have some ice cream."

What to expect from someone her background- mother got pregnant without marriage, father already married but chasing another woman. Whole life they must be defending themselves, asking people to eat ice cream.

No hate here but anybody get the feeling that these questions are pre planned. Like..
Comparisons with mom? Check
Nepotism? Check
Hate comments? Check

absolutely, all her comments to me looks scripted. They will be trained by their teams ofcourse. But Kudos KJO ensured all sensitive topics to be answered smashingly. Seriously I am not bowled over. I would rather her be herself and learn through her choices and misses to be more liked which is more of a natural transition.

All criticism is not "trolling" or "hate comments", firstly you put yourself out there in the public eye through your profession so you have to be ready to take the good with the bad and the bad is what will make you better with each movie. This "Eat icecream" comment is rather rude for your audience that can potentially make or break you as a performer by accepting or rejecting you, it deserves respect. It also gives vibes of you under-estimating the audience' intelligence or over-estimating your own talent. You want to "sound" intelligent and talented... the question is, are you really?

Ok love we’ll go eat ice cream rather than come watch your unnecessary remake of a sure-to-be superior movie with better actors with actual talent. We’ll watch Sairat on Netflix while eating said ice cream.

I don't think u will . Because u are here writing shit about her on here . I am sure that comment is for people like you. So Learn to CHILL & HAVE AN ICE CREAM! lol

She is right. You people are really negative and too judgmental.
Try to enjoy every moment of your life rather than spreading negativity. Go have an ice cream.

Constructive criticism is good but calling people scum and s**t is plain awful. If you don't have anything useful to say on social media then please do every one a favor and deactivate your account.

We’ll go eat ice cream if you take an acting class. Deal?

This gal can surely talk. Bored already.
