Jaya Bachchan on Hyderabad rape and murder case: Accused should be brought out in public and lynched
The brutal rape and murder of the 26-year-old veterinarian in Hyderabd have shaken the nation and everyone is brimming with opinion over the heinous crime. As the issue was raised in Rajya Sabha on Monday, Samajwadi Party leader Jaya Bachchan roared saying that the accused in the case show be shamed in public and lynched. The veteran actress stated that perhaps lynching is the only way to put an end to such crimes against women.
For the uninitiated, the young doctor, who went missing on November 27, was found dead and charred on Thursday on the Hyderabad-Bengaluru National Highway. To note, the police has also been slammed for their negligence in the case. Talking about the same, Jaya stated, “I think the people now want the government to give a proper answer and a very definite answer. What has happened? How they have tackled it and how far justice has been done to these people?”
She also questioned the security arrangements in the area and that a similar incident took place in Hyderabad just a day before the horrendous crime happened. “Do you not think the security in-charge should be questioned and they should be asked to give an answer why they were not able to protect that area?” she asked.
Rajya Sabha MP Jaya Bachchan: If you have not been able to provide security then leave it to the public to give judgement. Those who failed to provide security and those who committed the crime should be exposed in public, & then let people decide. https://t.co/bYMvOB1Ulh pic.twitter.com/khx6Zf4OvJ

Expressing her anger over the incident, Jaya stated that the accused, which have been caught by the cops, should be handed over to the public. She further asserted, “I think these people need to be shamed in front of the entire country. People who have not done their jobs properly. These kinds of people (the accused) should be brought out in public and lynched”.
Jaya’s statement was supported by AIADMK MP Vijila Sathyanath, who even broke down during her speech in the Parliament. Vijila emphasised that the country isn’t safe for women and children. “A fast track court should be set up. Justice delayed is justice denied,” she added.
Meanwhile, the accused have been sent to 14-day judicial custody on Saturday. Besides, three policemen have been suspended for “dereliction of duty”.

Speak right
I like how Jaya Bachchan speaks her mind out fearlessly without being diplomatic.Indian judiciary system needs a serious law change to fast-track rape cases now!
Call her whatever, but I love Jaya for expressing her views righteously like a true leader Everytime it is needed.
I believe Karan Johar's words that she is best MIL in industry.
