He's played the boy from the streets in Gully Boy. He's recreating the iconic Natraj Shot for '83. And now, Ranveer Singh is all set to add a Gujarati tadka to his career with Jayeshbhai Jordaar. It was previously announced that Ranveer will be returning home - his Yash Raj Films home - to play an ordinary man with extraordinary dreams in Jayeshbhai Jordaar. Now, debutant Divyang Thakkar's directorial has shared the first look from the movie and it is as intriguing as it could get.

Ranveer has shed a few kilos for the role. In the photo, Ranveer is dressed in orange, polka dot polo-neck T-shirt with a pair of faded grey jeans. His hair pushed to one side. The actor sports an old-school golden watch to complete his look. The image sees Ranveer standing in front of a group of veil-covered women. It seems like he is protecting the women.

Check out the picture below:

“As Charlie Chaplin once said, ‘To truly laugh, you must be able to take your pain, and play with it!’ Jayeshbhai is an unlikely hero - an ordinary man, who ends up doing something extraordinary when he’s hurled into a threatening situation. Jayeshbhai is sensitive and compassionate. He believes in equal rights between men and women in a society that is deeply rooted in patriarchal ideals, practices and doctrines,” Ranveer said about the character. “Jayeshbhai presented an exciting challenge - to deconstruct myself in order to transform into a kind of character I’ve never inhabited before,” he added.

So happy for Deepika and for him that he got the gal he wanted to be with.

This guy!!!

I so agree with previous comment..all his characters are so different and he rocks in each one of them..he is a complete actor..love him

He rocks in any role...he will kill it...unlike the predictable RK who is either a playboy or heartbroken in his movies. Ranveer is so much more versatile.

Ha ha...u actually said it right
