Famous Marathi director Nagraj Manjule is directing the upcoming Amitabh Bachchan starrer Jhund. The filmmaker is known to direct the critically acclaimed film Sairat. Jhund went on floors in November, last year. The film is shot in Nagpur, from beginning to the end. The biographical sports-drama is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Raaj Hiremath, Savita Raj Hiremath and NagrajManjule, under the banner of T-Series, Tandav Films and Aatpaat.

The film was supposed to release in September initially, but has been pushed to October now. The delay has been made due to some post production work.
