John Abraham is coming with another nationalistic action cop drama Batla House, after RAW (Romeo Akbar Walter) and Satyamev Jayate. Batla House aims to project the truth behind the 2008 encounter with alleged terrorists that took place at Batla House in Jamia Nagar in Delhi. Recently, the makers gave a sneak peek to the audience at the making of Batla House. The film is scheduled to hit the theatres on August 15, this year. The film will also have a box office clash with the multi-starrer space film Mission Mangal.
It's stated that John and Akshay Kumar's bond is much more than some box office clash. Talking about the same, the actor said, "We have been talking about it, and I hope we can do something soon as we are similar in many ways and get along well. What you saw in Garam Masala, Desi Boyz and Housefull 2 is a reflection of our real-life bond. We throw each other around, laugh and crack jokes. There is so much of positivity between us that we would love to see translate again on the screen. Instead of facing off with each other on certain days, we could probably come together in a film on Independence Day."
Sharing details about his character in the film, John said, "My character (DCP Sanjeev Kumar Yadav), is based on a real police officer, presently serving in the Delhi Special Cell and not a work of fiction. For me, he is a real superhero, the most awarded police officer in India. I hope I have done justice to the part."
