Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa's Suchitra Krishnamoorthi seeks Mumbai Police's help as she receives obscene messages

Actress Suchitra Krishnamoorthi recently filed a police complaint as she received several vulgar messages on Facebook. The actress took to her Twitter page to share the screenshots of these messages in which she tagged the Mumbai Police Twitter account.

A person with the username Lacosta Maphisa sent her several obscene messages on her Facebook account. She tweeted the screenshot and shared on Twitter, "When someone claims to work on National Prime Prevention council & harasses women this way @MahaCyber1@MumbaiPolice pls take note. This message was sent to me on @facebook!"

The Mumbai Police immediately replied to her, "We have followed you. Please DM us your contact details." The actress then replied to their tweet thanking for the action. She shared, "Thank you for prompt response. I wanted to bring it to ur notice thats all and  i am not under any threat. If they can message me like this imagine the plight of young vulnerable girls on social media."

After she raised her concern about girls' safety on social media, the Mumbai police responded, "Ma'am, we have already forwarded to our Social Media cell and Cyber police station for necessary intervention & action. Moreover, you can also Dial 100 or Tweet us, alternatively for prompt support."
