Kangana Ranaut on Swara Bhasker's item number dig: Sacrificed lot to be who I'm today; Back off B grade hyenas
A few days ago, Swara Bhasker took a jibe at Kangana Ranaut by sharing her dance number from her film Rajjo. Now, the Thalaivi star has reacted to her on social media.
It seems like Kangana Ranaut and Swara Bhasker are back at the loggerheads on social media. A few days ago, the Anaarkali of Aarah actress had shared a video of the Thalaivi star performing a dance number in her 2013 film Rajjo while taking a dig at her. For the uninitiated, Kangana had slammed politician Sukhdev Panse for calling her a 'naachne gaane waali (item girl) and while doing the same, she also dragged Alia Bhatt, Deepika Padukone and Katrina Kaif. She said she is not like them and that she had refused to do item numbers in movies or a big hero film.
Replying to this, Swara posted a video of Kangana’s dance video and said she loved her dancing in this ‘item number’. Now, the Queen star has hit out at her and said that the Rajjo dance number wasn't an item song since she played a bar dancer in the film, and the song was a part of its narrative. She tweeted, “Whenever I impose difficult questions on A listers all B listers come like sepoys, item numbers is essentially a song which isn’t consequential to the plot of the film, uses derogatory language for woman, even when I played a nautch girl I made sure it’s not derogatory for woman.”
Kangana added, “These B grades won’t understand but I said no to item songs of Sanjay Bhansali and Farah Khan also, which made few A listers over night sensations, I sacrificed a lot to be who I am today, back off B grade hyenas if these directors offer you even a passing you will go crawling.”
Take a look at Kangana Ranaut’s tweets below:
Earlier, the Tanu Weds Manu star had said in her tweet, “Whoever this fool is does he know I am no Deepika Katrina or Alia.... I am the only one who refused to do item numbers, refused to do big hero ( Khan /Kumar) films which made entire Bullywoodiya gang men +women against me. I am a Rajput woman I don’t shake a** I break bones.”
