Akshay Kumar and Parineeti Chopra will be seen in the film Kesari. Today, the actors held a press conference where they launched a new song called Teri Mitti. For the song launch and the press conference, film's producer Karan Johar was also present. Kesari is based on the true story of the Battle of Saragarhi of 1897.

In the Battle of Saragarhi, Havildar Ishar Singh along with his army of 21 Sikhs fought against 10,000 Afghans. At the press conference, director Karan Johar was asked about what changes will the film bring in the country considering the recent Pulwama attacks where more than 40 CRPF Jawans lost their lives.

Karan said, "Jab yeh film humne plan ki thi aur banayi thi, jis mahol ka aap zikr kar rahe hai, wo mahol tha nahi. Jis desh mein hum rehte hai, jis dis ki mitti mein hum rehte hai, yeh film usi mitti se bani hai. Iss film ka dil bada hai aur yeh jo bada dil hai na, aap kisi bhi daur mein isse release kar do, agar waakehi pyaar karte ho desh se aur jin logon ke jaan gawa di hai iss desh ke liye, agar wo connection aapke dil mein hai toh aap kisi bhi mahol mein yeh picture relate karegi aap resonate kar paoge. Aur aap pasand karoge aur garv karoge ke aise insaan the aur aaj bhi hai. Aur yeh Mahol ki baat nahi hai, yeh film ki baat hai, kahaani ki baat hai, Hindustani hone ki baat hai."

(When we planned and made this film, the situation you are mentioning now wasn't there. The country in which you are living, and the nation on whose soil you are residing, the film is made from that soul. This film has a big heart and with this large-heartedness, if you release this film in any situation, if you really love and connect with this country, you will resonate with it. If you like it and if you are proud of such martyrs who were there and are still there. This isn't about any situation, it's about the film, a story and being an Indian.)

Kesari is helmed by Anurag Singh. The film will hit the screens on March 21, 2019.

Why these journalists ask dumb questions? There was no India and Pakistan it was the subcontinent ruled by the British . The Afghan were never ruled by anyone. Why Indians are taking credit for something that they ha e no contributions to? They were following the orders of the British. Karan joher is just focused on money and manipulation and making fool
