Karan Johar always seems to be making headlines either for his controversial Bollywood talk show Koffee with Karan, or his otherwise outspoken personality. Wherever he goes, controversy seems to follow him. In his sixth season of Koffee with Karan that featured cricketers Hardik Pandya and K L Pandya in an episode, it was highly criticised by the netizens for sexist and below the belt remarks of Hardik. Even Karan Johar was blamed by the viewers for laughing off at Hardik's offensive answers to his questions.

After the controversial row, the episode was taken off air by the makers on the streaming platforms and the cricket board of India BCCI took strict actions against the cricketers. It has been few months to the controversy now and when asked Karan Johar about what does he has to say about it, he said, “I think the boys have paid their price now”. According to the producer-director, Hardik and KL Rahul have paid their price for their comments on the show and said that he feels fully responsible and burdened about whatever happened.

The Arbaaz Khan show on which Karan arrived as a guest is Quick Heal Punch. The show is all about slamming social media trolling of celebrities and giving them back through the platform. Karan also talked about his sexuality on the show and said that he does not bother anymore whoever comments ill about it on his social media platform. The only thing that hurts him is when people say anything about his kids Yash and Ruhi.
