From Kai Po Che (2013) to Kedarnath (2018), Sushant Singh Rajput’s journey has been incredible, having been praised for films like PK, M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story, but director Abhishek Kapoor feels that post Sushant’s debut film, he has evolved beautifully as an actor and his dedication to his work is wonderful. After Kai Po Che!, Abhishek Kapoor and Sushant Singh Rajput will be seen in the film Kedarnath. While we hope that this duo creates the same magic as Sushant’s debut film, the trailer of Kedarnath has managed to hold the attention of the audiences. As soon as the trailer of the film was dropped online, it received a lot of praise and both, Sara Ali Khan and Sushant Singh Rajput were praised for their performance.

Talking about Sushant, Abhishek informed Mumbai Mirror that post Kai Po Che!, Sushant has evolved as an actor and he is happy that after so many films in his kitty, Sushant is a different person with truckloads of experience. “Of course there is a change. People change. It has been so many years since Kai Po Che!released and he has had so much exposure after that, has done so many films and is different person. But that’s good as even I wasn’t expecting to meet the same person I had met some five years ago,” shared Abhishek Kapoor, adding, “I am sure even he didn’t meet the same person that I was back then, and we have both evolved in our own ways. However, Sushant’s dedication to his craft and his research for the character he plays is even better now. He is evolving beautifully.”

Kedarnath will release on December 9, 2018, and the film stars Sushant Singh Rajput and Sara Ali Khan in lead roles. Kedarnath is Sara’s debut film in Bollywood and the film is a love story set in the backdrop of the Uttarakhand floods that wrecked havoc in 2013. Recently, the priests of Kedarnath had demanded a blanket ban on the film claiming that the film promotes love jihad as the film revolves around the life of an upper-class Hindu girl and a Muslim pithoo. A written plea has been sent to the makers of Kedarnath requesting them to rechristen the love story.
