Kesari symbolizes courage and bravery. Akshay Kumar is all set to narrate the story of the Battle of Saragarhi. Akshay Kumar plays the role of military commander Havildar Ishar Singh who led a contingent of 21 Sikh soldiers who fought against 10,000 Afghan invaders. Parineeti Chopra will be seen romancing Akshay Kumar in Kesari. She took to Instagram to share a new still from the film. In the photo, Akshay Kumar and Parineeti Chopra are seen as the perfect Punjabi munda and kudi. The still has the perfect rural setting. 

Talking about her character in the film, Parineeti in an interview said, “Everybody knows Kesari is about the Battle of Saragarhi. It's a boys film, but at very crucial and emotional moments of the film, character of Akshay Kumar thinks about his dead wife (played by me). It's a very cool love story that is woven into the story of a battle. I have a very small role in the film, but it is one of those films that I wanted to be a part of." She also added that after the release of the film, people will think her role is too small, but it will not bother her. She revealed that there is also one beautiful romantic song featuring Parineeti in the film, which is going to be released in three days.

People have appreciated the teaser and have been waiting to see the film on the big screens. Akshay has been experimenting with his roles and is doing well in terms of his movies creating a stir at the box office. Directed by Anurag Singh, Kesari will hit theatres on Holi 2019.
