Akshay Kumar is all set to go up against 10,000 Afghans with his battalion of soldiers in his upcoming film Kesari. The actor has been sharing glimpses from the film for quite some time, and today, Kesari’s new poster was unveiled by Akshay on social media. Based on the Battle of Saragarhi, Kesari is the story of Havildar Ishar Singh, portrayed by Akshay Kumar, who is sent on a battle with a regiment of 20 Sikh soldiers. Braving it all, Ishar Singh and his battalion fought the 10,000 Afghani Pathans on 12th of Sept 1897.

In the new poster of Kesari, we can see a close up of Akshay as Ishar Singh who looks absolutely intense. We can observe his saffron pagdi and a sword which he has held in his hand and is pretty close to his face. The poster us a glimpse into the mind of the brave-heart who was sent into the battlefield by Britishers with just 20 soldiers. Akshay captioned the poster with a dialogue from the film.

Akshay wrote, “Aaj meri pagdi bhi Kesari, jo bahega mera woh lahoo bhi Kesari, aur mera jawaab bhi Kesari. Get ready for #GlimpsesOfKesari from 2pm onwards. #Kesari”

Battle of Saragarhi is known to be one of the fiercest and bravest battles fought till date as the 21 soldiers had vowed to fight until death. Kesari is slated to release on Holi, i.e March 21, 2019.

Bollywood = Punjabi culture.
There is no room for other culture !

Wow! True Heroes.

SAACH kadwa hota hai aur TRUTH yeh hai that those 21 men fought for BRITISH RAJ!!! NOT FOR INDIA. Why can't we understand the fact that they fought for the Angrez..for our enemy..for our COLONIZERS!!! Sharm ki baat hai ke log fakr kar rahe hai ke hum firango ke GHULAM te! Pinkvilla, please post.

True. They were the invaders into the Pashtun territory. This battle was not about defending your country but defending a British post which was in Pashtun land. It were Pashtuns who were fighting for independence. Wrong choice of battle to make a movie.
