Kesari song Teri Mitti: Akshay Kumar & his battalion show undying love for their soil in this heartfelt ballad

Akshay Kumar and Parineeti Chopra starrer Kesari got a brand new song today. The film is based on one of the bravest battles fought in the history of the world, i.e. Battle of Saragarhi. In the Battle of Saragarhi, 21 Sikhs fought valiantly and bravely against 10,000 Afghans. In the film, Akshay is playing the role of Havildar Ishar Singh who is the leader of his battalion of Sikh soldiers and motivates them to fight against the massive army of the Afghans. 

Whereas, Parineeti will be playing Akshay Kumar's love interest.The entire cast turned up at the launch event of the song today. The new song is composed by Arko, written by Manoj Muntashir and sung by B Praak. The song is heart-warming tribute to their soil and Akshay Kumar and his battalion are featured in the song. It is an intense number and Praak's voice makes it even more poignant. Visuals of the battle make the song even more meaningful.

The previous two songs from the film, sanu kehndi and ajj singh garjega, were well received by the audiences. Speaking about the film, Akshay had earlier said, “I’m known for hating wigs, prosthetics and so on, and Kesari is quite demanding. It’s probably my favourite look, though it’s taxing to fight and sweat in this avatar. But I wouldn’t change it for the world."
