Kiara Advani, who made her acting debut with Fugly in 2014, has come a long way in Bollywood despite being an outsider. In 2020, she was part of a web film Guilty and then she was also seen in Laxmii and Indoo Ki Jawaani. Now, for this year, she has Jug Jugg Jeeyo, Shershaah and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 in her kitty. In a recent conversation with the Hindustan Times, the beautiful actress opened up about her acceptance in Bollywood, cut-throat competition in the film industry and more.

When asked about peer pressure with such cut-throat competition, Kiara said that from the beginning of her career, she always knew the kind of films she wanted to do, even though she didn’t have many choices back then but she waited patiently. “Today, fortunately, there are more options and choices. But I must admit, with more options, the choice becomes even harder. And I’m the kind of person who wants to do it all, who wants to try it all out,” she added. She further explained that she has to learn the art of balancing because she is an actor, and every film demands a certain amount of time for preparation for a character, and then the actual shoot.

Later, when asked about whether Bollywood has fully accepted her or not, Kiara said that acceptance did take some time. But today, she feels happy and encouraged as people from her fraternity go out of their way to message or call her after watching her work. “It’s so motivating to get that acknowledgement. Whoever I have worked with right from my very first film, the entire crew, my co-stars we’re still in touch; I have a wonderful working relationship with every single person that I’ve worked with,” the actress stated. She also said that be it in the South film industry or Bollywood, few equations have stayed even though they don’t get to see each other often.

“More than anything, I always wanted the audience to accept me, as they’re the ones we make films for. And I think when the movie audience accepts you, that’s when you get more work,” Kiara concluded.

Kiara, you are not outsider but it's ok because you know why? You just do good work without blowing your trumpet unlike deepika, anushka etc. You are my favorite
