Last year, the #MeToo movement in India helped to expose several sexual predators from the film industry. Names like Alok Nath, Vikas Bahl, Kailash Kher, Rajat Kapur and many others came out as different women shared their stories. In an interview with Hindustan Times, Madhuri Dixit spoke about sexual harassment.

The actress said that we need a safe society and a safe environment for women everywhere and not just in the entertainment industry. She added that there are many women who face harassment on a daily basis in trains and buses and in different public places.

She added, "If the accused is a famous person then everybody knows about it. But what about those faceless people who harass [women]? In order to provide a safe environment, it is imperative to educate people and also help women to come out and fight fearlessly."

Madhuri Dixit added that it is also important to educate people on how to fight the battle.

Subash GHAi and the vulgarity scene Dayavan director exploited her for sure. The bathing scene in Dayavan, first night, the horrible assault scene in Prem-Granth screams disgusting. Start talking Honey.

It only "screams disgusting" for creepy people who can't distinguish between films and reality.

Ever diplomatic Mads .

I am also with Madhuri Dixit because film industry can taught normal women to be independent and self concious about their dresses and behaviour
