Kangana Ranaut’s directorial debut Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi is setting the cash registers ringing with its phenomenal performance at the box office and the audiences are loving the historical epic drama. But one thing that hasn’t left the film till date is the countless controversies because every morning, we wake up to Manikarnika being mired in controversies and soon after the release, while co-director Krish had lashed out at Kangana for taking credit of the film, other actors have voiced their concern over their roles being chopped out. However, Raees actor, Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, who shared screen space with Kangana in Tanu Weds Manu, and who later replaced Sonu Sood, after the latter decided to walk out of the film, says that he has no complaints and he is happy the way the film has turned out to be.

While talking to Mid-Day, Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub said, “I shot for only six days. Kangana had clearly told me what my role would be, so I knew exactly what to expect. An actor does feel bad when his/her role is chopped, but the director has his reasons. In some of my earlier films, 90 percent of my roles have been edited. It hurts because of the time and energy you give to the project.” After Sood’s exit from the film, Ayyub was cast in the film as soon as Ranaut took over the directorial baton from Krish and talking about it, Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub said, “She called me in the morning, and in the evening, I was already shooting at ND Studios. When I got on board, I was told that since Sonu Sood had grown a beard for Simmba, the look did not go with the character. Plus, there were date issues. Krish too had opted out as he was directing the NTR biopic.”

While many actors have accused Kangana of focusing the film entirely on her and chopping out other actor’s scenes, but Ayyub felt that on the sets, Kangana was a thorough professional. “Things were under control. There was no arm-twisting or domination from her end,” Ayyub said. After Sonu Sood walked out the film, actor Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub took on the character of Sadashivrao Bhau in the war drama and talking about Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi, as the name suggests, the film is based on the life of Rani Laxmibai of Jhansi and her war against the British East India Company, during the Indian Rebellion of 1857.

On Day 10, Manikarnika crossed Rs 75-crore mark at the box office and trade pundits are hoping that the film will cross the Rs 100-crore mark soon.

Sonu is a c grade actor. Imagine his gall to malign kangana.Zeeshan shows everyone is not bikau.

Are people that naive??? I am a Kangana Actor admirer, but do not like her as a person. Yes, she is smart and bold and this and that, but she clearly lies and manipulates! Of course this guy is going to take her side. She replaced Sonu with him. He wouldn’t care how much he shot as he did not with Krish, who is the “actual” director of the movie. Ankita will also suppose her as her part was increased and a song added. Even Krish says her role was increased. God! People need to do the research before blindly believing in what is NOT the truth!!

Dream on oppositon for flop it has made 115cr, 10 more and will recover budget. And single handedly with out anyone's praise. Zeeshan is much better actor then Sonu.

Liar at it again. It made rs 75crs in 11 days .It's a flop. It's a hit in your imagination. Don't manipulate the numbers zeeshan is lying and Sonu is more dashing and famous than him.
Post it Pinkvilla please

The movie is flop so its unnecessary now

He did his job so well, glad Sonu wasn't there to ruin it.

Who is he?

Not every man is spineless. Kudos to Zeeshan. Insecure and flop men always find faults.

Saving the flop movie from sinking even more

He is lying because he knows if he speaks the truth, kangana will slander him too and call him a small actor.

Exactly. Roles get edited all the time but no one else gets full blown interviews out of it.

If he was told it’s 6 days work right in beginning why would he have problem? Sonu was supposed to have 90 min screen time

See???

Smart guy.
