Surviving the weekend test, Kangana Ranaut starrer Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi and Nawazuddin Siddiqui's Thackeray have been growing with day at the box office. Positive word of mouth and Republic Day holiday has helped both the films to achieve more footfalls, but Kangana has once again proved that she is literally the 'Queen' when it comes to emerging victorious at the box office. Both the movies have been performing well in specific circuits. While Thackeray has seen the best business in Maharashtra, Manikarnika has been doing well in North.

According to early estimates, Manikarnika earned around Rs 19 crores taking the total close to Rs 45 crores (Friday: 8.75 crores + Saturday: 18.10 crores + Sunday: 19 crores) during the weekend. On the other hand, Nawazuddin starrer Thackeray collected around Rs 11 crores (Friday: 6 crores + Saturday: 10 crores + Sunday: 11 crores) making the total weekend collection around Rs 26 crores (both Hindi and Marathi). Both the movies now have the Monday litmus test to pass which will determine how far they will go when it comes to box office sustainability.

On the other hand, Thackeray is a biopic made on the life of Balasaheb Thackeray, the Shiv Sena supremo. Thackeray has been made on a budget of around 20 crores and considering that it has already recovered its cost.

Anonymous : Rs 45 crs for rs 125 crs movie proves it's a flop. Kangana is not a queen but a flop who fails to make 100 crs or recover the budget .
