After undergoing treatment in New York, Sonali Bendre recently returned to India, and soon after her return, the actress was welcomed by her family and friends. Besides hubby Goldie Behl receiving her at the airport, Sonali was excited to be reunited with her family. Before leaving for India, Sonali had posted a heartfelt message on Instagram as she wrote, “They say Distance makes the heart grow fonder. It sure does. But let’s never underestimate what distance teaches you. Being away from home in the city of New York, I realized I was walking amongst so many stories. Each trying to write their own chapter in different ways. Each struggling to do it but never giving up. Each taking it #OneDayAtATime.”

While Twitterverse erupted in joy on Sonali’s return to India, we found a sweet message from Dil Se actress Manisha Koirala, and since Manisha herself has battled cancer in the past, we are sure she must have understood the pain of Sonali. Apart from welcoming Sonali to India, Manisha heaped praises on Sonali for her grace and strength as she wrote, “Welcome dear.. discovering “the new normal”will be exciting.. navigating mindfully, it is indeed a soulful time !! You have shown grace n strength in trying times.. you are gorgeous inside out!! Big hug.” In return, Sonali Bendre replied, “Thank you my dear for all the consistent support. Lots of love.” But this is not the first time that Manisha has extended her support towards Sonali because in the past, when Sonali was diagnosed with cancer, Manisha had written, “@iamsonalibendre by the grace of god all will be fine and you will be back home soon with good news sending love n prayers my friend.”

They say "Distance makes the heart grow fonder". It sure does. But let's never underestimate what distance teaches you. Being away from home in the city of New York, I realized I was walking amongst so many stories. Each trying to write their own chapter in different ways. Each struggling to do it but never giving up. Each taking it #OneDayAtATime. And now I'm on my way back to where my heart is. It's a feeling I can't describe in words but I'm going to try - it's the joy to see my family and friends again, the excitement to do what I love and mainly the gratitude for the journey I've had up until this moment. The fight is not yet over...but I'm happy and looking forward to this happy interval :) It's time to learn that there is a new normal out there and I can't wait to embrace it and #SwitchOnTheSunshine. #NowPlaying #AdventureOfALifeTime And as my adventure with life continues these words by Chris Martin hit home, "Everything you want is a dream away. Under this pressure, under this weight We are diamonds taking shape..."
