Nushrat Bharucha, who won hearts with her performance in Ayushmann Khurrana starrer Dream Girl a couple of months ago, grabbed the headlines after she roped in for a special number in Sidharth Malhotra and Riteish Deshmukh starrer Marjaavan. It was reported that it was a party track with a desi vibe sung by Honey Singh and was inspired by a Rajasthani song. In fact, the team had also shot the song in Vasai Fort and Nushrat was quite excited about the song.

However, as per the recent buzz, the song has been chopped from the movie. According to a report published in Times of India, makers felt the song hampered the pace of the movie and hence chose to drop it. The decision was taken by producer Bhushan Kumar, director Milap Zaveri along with Sidharth and Nushrat. In fact, the report also suggested that Nushrat understood the intent and had no issues with the song being chopped off from the movie.

On the other hand, the makers are also planning to release the song as an independent single after a couple of months since a lot of money has been invested in the track.

Talking about Marjaavan, the movie will mark Sidharth’s second collaboration with Riteish after their 2014 release Ek Villain. Interestingly, Riteish played the role of an antagonist in both movies. Also starring Tara Sutaria in the lead, Marjaavan is slated to release on November 15 this year.
