The trailer launch of the much-awaited film Mental Hai Kya was scheduled to take place last week. However, it was cancelled after the Central Board of Film Certification insisted on viewing the film first before issuing certificate for the movie or its promotional material. A petition had been filed against the film when Mental Health experts expressed displeasure over the title and the teasers. However, the makers of the Kangana Ranaut and Rajkummar Rao starrer had clarified that the film's title does not discriminate against individuals with mental illness.

The screening for CBFC is scheduled for this week and there is some good news for makers. According to sources, Gujarat High Court has urged CBFC to consider the film without any influence of the petition filed. The source informed, “CBFC has been directed by the Gujarat High Court that they should watch the movie without getting influenced by the petition that has been filed. And now CBFC has fast tracked the films viewing and the makers of the movie are gearing up for their scheduled release date of July 26, 2019.”

A week ago, the makers had released the motion poster of film Mental Hai Kya which left the audience excited. Producer Ekta Kapoor had shared the same with a disclaimer that said the movie is a fictional thriller and in no way will offend or disregard anyone’s sentiments. In fact according to reports, the makers are sure that once CBFC views the film, they will find the title to be relevant and correct.

The production house Balaji Telefilms, which is backing Mental Hai Kya, was unavailable for comment.

MCPs can never stand ths brave girl.

I will never watch a kangana movie because of the bad person she is.

Stop watching her movie- no matter how good the movie is. That’s how such a miserable negative person should be avoided. She has done enough harm to everyone

She is mental in real life. Promoting her movie by talking about hritik !!
