Met Gala 2019: Deepika Padukone channels her inner Disney princess as she takes the pink carpet
At the Met Gala 2019, the who's who from all over the world took the stage. From Priyanka Chopra Jonas to Lady Gaga, everyone stunned at the red carpet. However, one star who surely channelled her inner Disney princess on the Pink carpet and stole the limelight was Deepika Padukone. In a gorgeous custom-made pink gown, Deepika brought out her high fashion side at the Met Gala 2019 in New York. While many of the stars who came to the red carpet kept it dramatic, Deepika surely stunned it a pink custom-made Zac Posen.
While the annual fun-rasing gala is an event where the best of the best designers, actors, singers and humanitarians assemble, it is also a fashion fiesta. Last year's theme was different from this year's. This year's theme was Camps: Notes on fashion. Deepika's look for this year was a pink lurex jacquard embellished with 3D printed pieces which she combined with stunning makeup and a hairdo which made her look like a million bucks.
Deepika had left for the Met Gala from India a day back and even then, each one of her fans wanted to see what the Padmaavat actress will bring to the pink carpet. Before leaving for the Met Gala 2019, Deepika was shooting for her upcoming film, Chhapaak based on the life of the most known acid attack survivor, Laxmi Agarwal. Deepika will be seen as Malti and her husband will be played by Vikrant Massey. The film is helmed by Meghna Gulzar and is slated to release on January 10, 2020.
