2019’s biggest and most shocking news came from Bollywood as one of the most prolific filmmakers, Rajkumar Hirani was accused of sexual misconduct by a female crew member from his film, Sanju a few days back. Post this accusation against the Munnabhai director, the entire film industry was left shocked. A number of actors who have worked with Rajkumar Hirani chose not to speak about the matter. However, after actress Dia Mirza spoke up about the incident, actor Arshad Warsi also now came out and expressed his shock on the incident.

In an interview to Zoom Tv, Arshad was asked about what he thought on the entire controversy related to Rajkumar Hirani being accused of sexual harassment by his crew member from Sanju. To this, Arshad expressed that Hirani as a person is a true gentleman and is wonderful. But he also shared his shock to the news of him being accused of sexual harassment. Arshad said, " If you talk to me about Raju Hirani as a person, as a personality and how he is, I think he is a wonderful person and a thorough gentleman. So, for me,  It’s a shocker as it is for everybody else who has heard this news. "

Arshad has been a part of Rajkumar Hirani’s most loved film, Munnabhai MBBS and Lage Raho Munnabhai and his role of Circuit is still one of the most memorable performances of all times. He is also in talks with Hirani for the third instalment of the franchise. However, amidst the news where Rajkumar Hirani’s assistant accused him of sexual misconduct with her, all seem to be on hold. The Me too movement that found it’s roots in India back in 2018 seems to be rolling over and coming forth in 2019 as well.
