The #MeToo movement has gained momentum in India and after Tanushree Dutta renewed a decade-old sexual harassment case against Nana Patekar, a lot of women have come forward with their own #MeToo stories- from Shweta Pandit, Sandhya Mridul, Vinta Nanda to Saloni Chopra, Flora Saini and Aditi Mittal, among others, have named and shamed their sexual predators and because of which, names of a lot of famous personalities have come under the scanner. From Vikas Bahl, Sajid Khan, Subhash Ghai, Anu Malik, Kailash Kher, to Jatin Das, among others, a lot of stars have been accused of sexual misconduct.

A few days back, film-maker Rajkumar Hirani was accused of sexual harassment by a woman who worked with him on his 2018 movie Sanju. Although, later, Hirani had issued a statement denying the allegations, the woman, who was an assistant on the sets of Sanju, has alleged that Hirani sexually abused her more than once between March and September 2018. Soon after, B-town celebs took to social media to defend the film-maker and express a sense of concern over the allegations. From Arshad Warsi, Dia Mirza, Javed Akhtar, Sharman Joshi, Boney Kapoor to Indra Kumar, everyone has stood by the film-maker and in the words of veteran lyricist Javed Akhtar, “I had come to the film industry in 1965. After so many years if I am asked who are the most decent people you met in this industry over almost 5 decades,  perhaps the first name that will come to my mind is RAJU HIRANI.”

In the wake of the Me Too movement, another actress to talk about the movement is veteran actress Aruna Irani. Aruna informed NavbharatTimes.com, “Men and women both are responsible. If someone is exploiting me then I'm also very clever. I know what I'm going to get from it.” And when she was asked about Rajkumar Hirani, Aruna said, “No comments. They all are using each other for their own advantages. I don't want to get into this matter.”

In the wake of the allegations against Hirani, his name has been dropped as co-producer from the film Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga. The film stars Sonam Kapoor, Anil Kapoor and Rajkumar Hirani in the lead roles.

At least victims are opening up now. These people are always wearing mask.

Senseless allegations she was not all alone on a secluded island she could have left him then and there even if she was intimidated by his status but to say she is naive sorry difficult to digest looks more like grapes are sour
