2019 has been a lucky year for actress Mrunal Thakur. After all, her two big releases of the year (Super 30 and Batla House) did a decent business at the box-office. And while the diva has been basking in the success of her movies, she has also been roped in for another big project -  Toofan starring Farhan Akhtar in the lead.

Reportedly, Mrunal will be seen playing Farhan’s love interest in the movie. This will be the first time that Mrunal will be sharing screen space with Farhan and we wonder if this fresh pair will be able to impress the audience. Talking about the movie, Toofan will feature Farhan in the role of a boxer. In fact, the actor has been undergoing rigorous training for Toofan and often teased the fans with glimpses of his gym sessions.

Interestingly, the makers also unveiled an intriguing first look poster of the movie recently, where Farhan was seen in action in the boxing ring. Also, one cannot miss Farhan’s ripped physique as he packs a punch in the poster. To note, this will be Farhan’s second sports-based movie after the 2013 release Bhaag Milkha Bhaag. The actor received a ton of praises for his take on Milkha Singh.

Helmed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, the movie will be Farhan’s second collaboration with the director after Bhaag Milkha Bhaag. Apart from Farhan and Mrunal, Toofan will also star Paresh Rawal, Isha Talwar and Supriya Pathak in key roles. As of now, Farhan is busy promoting his upcoming release The Sky Is Pink. Also starring Priyanka Chopra, Zaira Wasim and Rohit Saraf in the lead, the Shonali Bose directorial is slated to hit the screens on October 11, 2019.
