Just a few days ago, with the release of Sanjay Dutt's biopic titled Sanju, the audience got to know a lot about the actor's life. The film showed the bond that he shared with his parents, his drug addiction, and about his alleged involvement in the 1993 Mumbai bomb blasts.

Sanjay Dutt's mother, the iconic Nargis Dutt, died of pancreatic cancer in 1981, only three days before his son's Bollywood debut with the film Rocky. In the film, it was shown that Nargis used to record audio messages for her son, while she was in New York for her treatment. Recently, an old video from 1991 resurfaced on the internet, where Sanjay is seen talking about his mother's death on a talk show, and even plays the last message that Nargis had recorded for him from her deathbed.

In the video, a young Sanjay can be seen saying, "When my mother died I did not cry, I had no emotions." He further says that after two years a friend of his played the tape, and on hearing that, he burst out in tears and cried for 4-5 hours.

In the audio recording, Nargis can be heard saying, "More than anything, Sanju, keep your humility. Keep your character. Never show off. Always be humble and always respect the elders. That is the thing that is going to take you far, and that is going to give you strength in your work.”

In the film Sanju too, it was shown that Nargis Dutt's last message to Sanjay helped him cope up with his drug addiction and come out of it. However, the message shown in the film was completely different from the original one.

Sanju starred Ranbir Kapoor in the shoes of Sanjay Dutt. The film is directed by Rajkumar Hirani and has broken a number of records since the day of its release. Sanju became the highest first day grosser of 2018 and is now inching towards the Rs 300 crore mark.

Only issue,is the mothers in South Asia needs to put guide lines for their sons! Teach them respect , like they do with their daughters! There are still sons that do whatever, the mothers thinks they are prince! Stop this thinking already!

He was soooo handsome. I like Ranbira lot, but he is nothing compared to Sanjay! Even in early 2000s he still was smoking hot - Kaante, Musafir, Jung, he has such an unique swag! And he is extremely talented, i was crying out loud while watching Saajan, or Khalnayak, or Pitaah, or Vaastav. He outshined everyone in Agneepath. So sad that he desn't know how to choose worthy movies that suit his talent.

He has a heart of Gold, No malice...and the blessings of mom

4-5 hours? That's it? You lost your mother n that's all you gave to her in the end? Hypocrite

amazing mother . Sanjay Dutt was so handsome Ranbir cant compare

A superstar that has lasted many decades. Considering his parents were megastars he still made it. I don't know why everyone says abhishek had it the hardest in terms of expectations (amitabhs son) when sanjay dutts mother was mother India! And his father was the superstar sunil dutt. Yet sanjay dutt still made it because he didn't copy his parents and he created his own space and experimented with action, comedy, romance and even drama films.

Super star Sunil Dutt? that itself is a joke.

He is actually a very nice person to everyone who has worked with him or to his fans. He made some major mistakes because initially I think he was naive and was lost. His humility has still remained and unlike other bollywood superstars he openly admits to his mistakes and criticises himself.
