Naseeruddin Shah is one of the most phenomenal actors in the Hindi film industry. He has been a part of the acting world for more than 4 decades. In his career so far, the actor has done different kinds of films and roles and we can't imagine anyone else doing the same. Currently, Naseeruddin has become the centre of big debates when he stated that he is worried about his children in today’s India as they have no religion. The veteran actor had said there is a 'poison' that has spread in the Indian society. Post his statement, UP’s Navnirman Sena president Amit Jani booked Shah’s ticket from Mumbai to Karachi for August 14 - Pakistan’s Independence Day and called the actor a traitor.
This has created a big controversy for Naseer. When media met Naseer today, he said, “What I said earlier was as a worried Indian. What did I say this time that I am being termed as a traitor? I am expressing concerns about the country I love, the country that is my home. How is that a crime?” When asked about the flight ticket to Pakistan, he said he will send them back to Amit Jani.
Check out the tweet:

He also made a reference to the recent mob violence in Uttar Pradesh's Bulandshahr, saying that the death of a cow is being given more importance than the killing of a policeman. “These matters don’t scare me. They make me angry. I am angry and I believe every right-thinking man must be angry and must not fear,” said Naseer.
Shah also hit the headlines when he called Virat Kohli world's "worst behaved player" while also calling him world's best batsman in a Facebook post. Taking to his Facebook account, the actor wrote, "Virat K is not only the worlds best batsman but also the worlds worst behaved player. His cricketing brilliance pales beside his arrogance and bad manners. And I have no intention of leaving the country by the way.”
Fans bashed the actor for giving out such a statement.

his children have all rights to be atheists, but he has no right to call religions 'poison'. it is very rude to other people. religion is very importan for many people, he is no Ghandi to think he knows better what's good for the country than millions of people

He is speaking because he loves his country , he wants tolerance for all,so he said ,he is afraid of mob violence,he is a minority in India ! Lastly, the country did not give him his talents, and fame and success! It is his hard work, luck ,and God will! So stop saying, false equlivant statements!

Send him to China! Why send him to Karachi? China gave much more damages to India but no one says a single word against China. What did Paksitan did? throw patakhas here and there?

Agreed! As a product of an atheist and hindu.

Ajmal Kasab ka supporter, you are a long time traitor, so going to Pakistan is perfect for you.

We are living in dark ages where people live in constant fear, let it be fear losing loved ones to an angry mob or dying in a terrorist attack when you are having dinner with your family. Human life doesn't matter anymore. Women children are not safe anymore. Schools buses, even our protected home are they safe enough? Will they be safe from abuse? Will we ever get justice if we ever want the culprits of heinous crimes behind bars? It's a terrible time we live in where everyone wants to fight over everything. Will we ever live in peace and harmony and respect each other?

Naseer Saab...the only voice of reason left in India. He didn’t say anything to be labeled a traitor. What he’s saying he has the right to do so in a democratic society which gives him the right to free speech. Agree or disagree we can begin a dialogue and discussion.

Thank God I don't live in India anymore.

Didnt take long for him to pull out victim card after bashing the country, did it?

Hey Naseer Sagan you and Ratna Ma’am should move to Canada, here we do not judge you for your lack of religion affiliation. We will value you for the incredible talent that you are. India i once imagined as progressive and inclusive society is filled with regressive conservatives now.

i want to move to canada but unfortunately lacking few points.. can u help??

problem is with opportunists

India is a free country. He has a right to voice his opinion.

Funny how India tries to be up there with the big guns when it comes to 'free speech' (only brought up when they want to justify insults on muslims) but as soon as someone gives an opinion on India, free speech is thrown out of the window and taken over by name-calling, insults or death threats. Check the longline of victims ....aamir khan, shah rukh khan, sanjay dutt..to name but a few.

India would be respected by the rest of the world, if it stuck to what it purports...unfortunately India's current image is such that it is seen as a country that is quickly losing its principles and morals, due to their hunger and inferiority complex for the West.

The western world once very much admired India for its culture, morals, principles and values but that is swiftly dying.

He didn’t day anything wrong tho...

After earning money fame respect and status in the country he is afraid! Yet he wasn't afraid during 26/11 and Mumbai bomb blasts...and he even petitioned in favor of Ajmal Kasab...he shouldn't be using his star power to play this game and divide people. It's all politics. Disappointed in him.

And he is a mediocre actor at best......tremendously overhyped....it's all politics that he chooses to opine now. Armchair liberals like him who live so comfortably should be ashamed.

Mr. Shah, it is commendable that you take a stand when required and one of the only few people who talk sense. You are absolutely correct in your conviction and most of the rational people think the same, it is just that they don't have a platform to speak (except for their votes)!!

He is eccentric, brilliant and somewhere he is right!

You became a certified traitor the day you signed merci petition for a terrorist, you viper

I think everyone is innocent until proven guilty!! so if Mr Shah had signed a petition for someone who was not guilty at the time of arrest is a traitor?! you cow worshipers need to get into your self conscious and stop blaming people who put your country on the map..

what about you pig and camel worshippers?will you stop butchering humanity everywhere and stop vomiting your bile everyday..

You became a certified traitor on the day y

Just ignore them. You are right.
