National Film Awards 2019 Full Winners List: Ayushmann Khurrana & Vicky Kaushal bag Best Actor award

The 66th National Film Awards took place on 9 August, Friday, after a much delay of three months due to the 2019 General Elections that were held in May-April this year.

The 66th National Film Awards took place on 9 August, Friday, after a much delay of three months due to the 2019 General Elections that were held in May-April this year. Ayushmann Khurrana starrer Andhadhun has bagged the top honours this year bagging the national award in the Best Hindi Film category. The ceremony which began at 3 pm today is still underway. The Best Actor award was shared by two of Bollywood's most talented actors Ayushmann Khurrana and Vicky Kaushal for Andhadhun and Uri: The Surgical Strike respectively. Whereas, the Best Actress award went to south star Keerthy Suresh for Mahanathi.

Deepika Padukone's 'Ghoomar' from Padmaavat bagged the best choreography where as Sanjay Leela Bhansali won the Best Music Director for Padmaavat. Ayushmann seems to be on a roll as his second film of 2018 Badhaai Ho won the Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment. Meanwhile, Priyanka Chopra's production Paani won Best Feature Film on environment conservation. Akshay Kumar's PadMan also bagged the Best Film On Social Issues award.

Best background music: 'Uri' 

Best Adapted Screenplay: Andhadhun

Best Male Playback Singer: Arijit Singh for Binte Dil from Padmaavat

Best Female Playback Singer: Bindu Mani for Mayavi Manave from Nathicharami

Best Special Effects: Awe, KGF

Most Film-Friendly State: Uttarakhand
