Nawazzudin Siddiqui is one of the talented actors that we have. He was last seen in the film Thackeray. His acting in the movie was appreciated, but it didn’t work well at the box office. According to reports, Nawazzudin was to play Ranveer Singh’s coach in the sports drama. The makers had approached Nawazuddin to play Ranveer's cricket coach in 83. Now, Nawazzudin’s spokesperson has denied all such reports and said there’s no truth to it. Putting an end to the speculation, Nawazuddin’s spokesperson said, “There is absolutely no truth to this. Nawazuddin Siddiqui is not part of '83. While he does share great respect and deep admiration for Kabir Khan as a director and would love to work with him in the future, he has not signed '83".

It was in September 2017 that Kabir Khan announced his ambitious project 83. The biopic, which is based on India's historic victory at 1983 World Cup at Lord's stadium in England, has been in news for the longest time. For the first time, Ranveer Singh will step into the shoes of Kapil Dev and fans can't wait to see him play the iconic cricketer on the big screen. Talking about the film, Kabir had said, “As a young schoolboy, when I watched India win the 1983 Cricket World Cup, I had no idea that from that day onwards, cricket in India will change forever. As a filmmaker, for me, the journey to that win, filled with raw energy and sheer passion of that young Indian team, is probably one of the most exciting stories I have worked on. And it's great to have Ranveer come on board to play Kapil Dev, as honestly, I could see no one else for the role, ever since I started finalising the script."

Both Nawaz and Ranveer have interesting line ups. Nawaz will next be seen in the second season of Sacred Games. He garnered appreciation for his role in the first season of the web series. Ranveer will next be seen in Gully Boy and is leaving no stone unturned for the promotions.
