The past week was a roller coaster ride for all the celebrities. Well, it's time to go on a rewind mode and recollect the newsmakers of this week. The week started with a sad news that shook everyone including the Bollywood industry. Former foreign minister Sushma Swaraj expired during the beginning of the week. Many B'town stars mourned her death on social media. The nation was shocked after hearing the sad news. Post this, most part of the week went neutral. Then came up a throwback video of the beautiful actress Janhvi Kapoor. Her dancing moves on the groovy song 'Akh Lad Jaave' surfaced on social media. The actress was in the headlines for quite some time.

Then, it was a very memorable day for Salman Khan and Madhuri Dixit as their superhit film Hum Aapke Hain Kon clocked 25 years. Then came the big day for the King Khan of Bollywood. Shah Rukh Khan was awarded honorary doctorate by La Trobe University at Indian Film Festival of Melbourne. 1. Sushma Swaraj Death

Former External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj expired a few days ago. The nation actually missing the presence of a great leader.  While everyone mourned the loss of the politician, Bollywood also was left in shock by the sad news of Sushma Swaraj’s demise. Many stars including Taapsee Pannu, Parineeti ChopraAnushka Sharma, Arjun Kapoor, Reitesh Deshmukh, Ayushmann Khurrana and Javed Akhtar opened up their heart on social media. The news made it to the main headline.

2. Janhvi Kapoor 'Akh Lad Jaave' dance video

Later this week, Dhadak actress Janhvi Kapoor, who is the new sensation of Bollywood, shook the internet with a video. Namrata Purohit took to Instagram to share another throwback video of the Dhadak star shaking her belly on a popular track, ‘Akh Lad Jaave’ from LoveYaatri. The hot video made it to the headlines for quite a while.

3. Hum Aapke Hain Kon completed 25 years

Salman Khan and Madhuri Dixit were the newsmakers as their precious film Hum Aapke Hain Kon clocked 25 years. Written and directed by Sooraj Barjatya and produced by Rajshri Productions, the musical rom com is an adaptation of the 1982 film Nadiya Ke Paar. It earned around Rs 200 crore and became the highest-grossing Indian film of the time. The classic had its own era. 

4. Shah Rukh Khan felicitation ceremony

Earlier this week, Bollywood's King Khan Shah Rukh Khan was awarded an Honorary doctorate by La Trobe University at Indian Film Festival of Melbourne today. Currently, he is in Australia for the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne. La Trobe was the first Australian University to award SRK with an Honorary Doctor of Letters (honoris causa), honouring his efforts and contribution to support underprivileged children, religiously dedication to fight for women’s empowerment and rights.

5. Winners of 66th National Films Awards 2019

The week ended with the announcement of the winners of National Films Festival. Today, the 66th National Film Awards 2019 were announced. While many films won in various categories, it was a big day for Uri: The Surgical Strike actor Vicky Kaushal as his film won him the Best Actor Award. The best film award also went to Ayushmann Khurrana starrers AndhaDhun and Badhaai Ho for Best Popular Film providing wholesome entertainment. Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Padmavat also won 3 awards, two of them for music.
