Nick Jonas is 'proud’ of wifey Priyanka Chopra as her Marathi production ‘Paani’ bags National Award

Priyanka Chopra’s Marathi film Paani bagged the 66th National Film Awards for environment conservation and Nick Jonas congratulated her.

Yesterday, Priyanka Chopra Jonas was on cloud nine because at the 66th National Film Awards, Priyanka’s Marathi film Paani won the award for environment conservation. Soon after the announcement, Priynka Chopra took to social media to express a sense of excitement and gratitude as she congratulated all the people involved in the making of Paani, PeeCee wrote, “I’m so proud to have produced a special film like #Paani. Congratulations to the entire team. Big congratulations to @adinathkothare and the entire creative team for bringing this challenging and relevant film to its fruition….”

This is not the first time that PeeCee has produced a Marathi film as earlier, Priyanka Chopra had produced another Marathi film titled Ventilator. ​Talking about the film, Priyanka wrote, “#Paani was our humble attempt at using entertainment to bring focus to the seriousness of the water crisis, which is of grave concern the world over. We are so honoured that the film had an impact and that our efforts have be​​en recognised.” And to celebrate and acknowledge wifey Priyanka Chopra’s achievement, American singer Nick Jonas took to Twitter to congratulate PeeCee’s as he wrote that he is super proud of her. Nick wrote, “So proud of @priyankachopra and the entire @PurplePebblePic team for their national award for #Paani congrats to everyone involved!” Well, we too are super proud of you desi girl.

Moreover, Priyanka thanked the jury who selected the film for the award- “My sincere gratitude to the jury for recognising our hard work and awarding Paani with the ‘Best Feature Film on Environment Conservation’.” After winning the award, Priyanka claimed that the film was their attempt to use media in the best manner and bring focus on the “seriousness of the water crisis.” On the work front, Priyanka Chopra will next be seen in Shonali Bose’s The Sky Is Pink co-starring Farhan Akhtar, Zaira Wasim and Rohit Saraf and the film will hit the screens in October 2019.
