Sridevi and Boney Kapoor’s daughter Janhvi Kapoor is all set to make her acting debut in Dhadak. The film directed by Shashank Khaitan is slated to hit the theatres on July 20, 2018.

Sridevi had said that she was not too convinced about her daughters joining the industry. When asked about Sridevi’s reaction to her decision of becoming an actor, Janhvi said in an interview to The Indian Express, “There were a lot of sounds. There was a lot of ‘Aiyyo!’, but I think she knew that the bug had bitten this poor girl.”

She added, "When I was a kid, she really wanted me to become a doctor. I don’t know why, and I was like, ‘I am sorry mom, but I don’t have the intellect to become a doctor.’"

Janhvi Kapoor revealed that dad Boney Kapoor eased Sridevi into agreeing to let her pursue acting. “He was very chilled out. He is like a typical Kapoor. He was very supportive. He eased mom into the idea of it. I think my parents have worked very hard to get where they are, but I think people often underestimate how hard it can be to be a producer or actor especially in their times. This is not a 9-5 job. It’s a lifestyle to be in this profession.”

She added, “He was excited that I chose to prove myself or do something with my life. Mom was like, ‘I have worked this hard because I wanted my children to have it easy, so that they have a relaxed life.’ But I think I wanted a fulfilling one. That meant much more to me. I don’t think I would have been a satisfied person had I just lived off whatever my parents gave me.”

There is a pre-2014 nose, funnel like huge and there is post-2014 nose.
Both daughters were groomed since then.
From Unibrow of Khushi to chiseled nose of Jhanvi. they were definitely groomed for showbiz

Doctor? Yh maybe in the 90s and early 00s but Sri was determined to turn Janhvi into an actor. The glutathione injectections and nose job obviously have enhanced her looks for Bwood standards, but I still feel she isn't that pretty. Then again, this is different for me as I'm not Indian, and Indians generally are small and dark...so this appeals to them.

Hahahaha what lies, so shridevi wanted jhanvi to be a doctor? lol maybe one who specializes in cosmetic surgeries for sure, then I would believe. Putting her daughter under the knive so early in age says a different story about wanting her to be a doctor, you did it so she would be beautiful and be an actor.

this lady can talk and she seems to have quite some intellect because whatever she says makes some sense in one way or the other. Jhnavi impresses me every day, and I think she can make it big, after all, she is Sridevi's daughter

yah..... every indian mom and dad wants their daughter to be a doctor..... at some point of time or the other.

they talk as if anyone can become a doctor and also as if its a easy option....its years of hard work and studying and doesn't even pay that much unless one works very hard......

I mean you won't hear them say it but most celebs do look down to people doing normal jobs and underestimate the work people put in. They work 12 hours a day too, sometimes 16. And even 120 hour weeks if you are a residency student

No they don’t .. a doctor is the most respectable profession and obviously ppl know a lot of hard work is needed..

dude chill!
everyone respects doctors ok. even when celebs fall sick they need to go to a doctor, so chill.. noone looks down on anything.. this is your own inbuilt complex

As per studies, over 92% people don’t trust the healthcare system in India

yah... which is why if you read the article, janhvi says that 'she doesnt think she has the interllect to become a doctor'....
sure not everyone has the capability to become a doctor, and not everyone will become a doctor... but god, can a mother not dream?? :)

I think every parent wants their child to have a comfortable lifestyle and someone like Sridevi who went through a lot in her life might not want her daughter to go through it..

The truth is with her dad being a producer and mom being a famous actor she won’t be exactly short of roles...Sridevi really worked hard to come up in this industry..so it’s doesnt really make sense saying that Jhanvi will have a hard time in this industry...

Hmmm Dr JK, nice !
