Vivek Oberoi starrer PM Narendra Modi biopic has been making headlines for a lot of controversies. This Omung Kumar directorial has been receiving backlash since its announcement and the first look. After several changes in release date, the film was supposed to release on April 11, 2019. However, the Election Commission has stopped the film from releasing.

Today, the makers of PM Narendra Modi biopic had organised a press show of the film for the media fraternity to watch and review it. However, after Election Commission's decision of stopping the release of the film, now, the press show of this Vivek Oberoi starrer got cancelled.

The whole drama around the film started when a Congress leader filed a petition seeking to stop the release of Modi's biopic. The Supreme Court in its judgement mentioned that these non-issues waste too much time of the court and told the Election Commission the power to decide if the film should release or not. The SC even refused to see the trailer of the film.

After this, actor Vivek Oberoi on Tuesday appreciated the Supreme Court's stance. He tweeted: "With all your blessings, support and love, today we have won in the Honourable Supreme Court. A humble thank you to all of you and to the Indian judiciary for upholding our faith in democracy."

The Election Commission today decided that the film won't release tomorrow. The makers can release it after the elections.
