The voting process is the most important part of the elections. The Lok Sabha Elections are around the corner. The first phase of voting will take place on April 11 and the last phase will be held on May 19. The final result will be announced on May 23. Before the voting procedure kick-starts, our Prime Minister Narendra Modi took to Twitter to urge Bollywood celebs to actively take part in creating awareness to help people understand the value of voting. He has requested Bollywood celebrities like Amitabh Bachchan, Salman Khan, Aamir Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Karan Johar, Akshay Kumar, and many others to get involved in it.

PM  Narendra Modi addressed his tweet to Big B, SRK, and Karan; he mentioned, “Urging @SrBachchan, @iamsrk and @karanjohar to creatively ensure high voter awareness and participation in the coming elections.  Because...its all about loving your democracy (and strengthening it).” He also added that voting is a duty and has asked Salman and Aamir to motivate the youth to vote. He tweeted, “Voting is not only a right but it’s also a duty. Dear @BeingSalmanKhan and @aamir_khan, It is time to inspire and motivate youth in your own Andaz to vote so that we can strengthen Apna Democracy & Apna country”.

One more tweet came in for Akshay, Bhumi Pednekar and Ayushmann Khurrana to take efforts from their end to help to create a better India. “Dear @akshaykumar, @bhumipednekar and @ayushmannk, The power of a vote is immense and we all need to improve awareness on its importance. Thoda Dum Lagaiye aur Voting ko Ek Superhit Katha banaiye,” tweeted Modi.

Karan responded to his tweet as, “Honourable Prime Minister @narendramodi we as a fraternity are dedicated to the cause of creating high voter awareness and will make sure every endeavour is made to communicate the power of voting for a solid and Democratic INDIA! Jai Hind!”

Akshay has also supported him and appreciated what the Prime Minister is requesting. “Well said @narendramodi ji. The true hallmark of a democracy lies in people’s participation in the electoral process. Voting has to be a superhit prem katha between our nation and its voters,” tweeted Akshay.

Funny that he asked srk and aamir considering that his party and supports hate them, spread false things about them and tell them to go to Pakistan.

modi trying to be nice. He failed as a PM

What kind of democracy is this where people can speak their minds? Look how they treated Sidhu for sharing his opinion.Sidhu didn't say anything wrong, his timing was wrong. Modi is more interested in celebrities than the real public as he proved his stupidity when he announced demonetisation. NO action was taken against bachcan and rai after panama paper leakage. I can't wait for modi to leave this year.

Poor kangana...he totally ignored her after all the sucking up...she will be sleepless for month now...

doesn't alia have british citizenship? how is she supposed to vote

OBSESSED with bollywood!!!!

You bet. Salman Chapati Khan's case will start right before elections.
