As the nation already knows that Deepika Padukone is essaying the role of the acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal in Meghna Gulzar’s Chhapaak, the actor has been gearing up for the same. From sharing a glimpse of the charred dupatta after an acid attack to a photo of the script of Chhapaak, the director and actor have been creating the hype of the project. Now, according to the new reports, Meghna Gulzar is also keen on working with Deepika Padukone’s husband and actor, Ranveer Singh.

Yes, as per a report in DNA, Meghna Gulzar has already discussed the idea of her next flick with Ranveer Singh and he has already shown interest in the same. For her next film after Chhapaak, Meghna will be delving into the life of Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw and wants to rope in Ranveer Singh for the same. While Ranveer has already shown his interest in the project, he is yet to give an official nod to the same. 

As per DNA, “Meghna is also planning to make a flick on Marshal Sam Manekshaw and has already briefed RS about it. The actor has loved the idea and is keen on doing it. He has not yet given his nod to the project because there’s still time before the two of them make it official.” Well, looks like Ranveer Singh wants to go wifey Deepika Padukone’s way. 

Meanwhile, Ranveer Singh is gearing up for his next film which is Kabir Khan’s ‘83. Based on the Indian Cricket Team's World Cup win of 1983, Ranveer will be stepping into the shoes of Kapil Dev for this biopic. The movie stars a number of actors including Pankaj Tripathi as Man Singh, Ammy Virk as Balvinder Singh Sandhu, Chirag Patil will be seen playing the role of his father Sandip Patil, while Hardy Sandhu will be seen as Madan Lal. Saqib Saleem will be stepping into the shoes of Mohinder Amarnath, while Sunil Gavaskar will be played by Tahir Raj Bhasin. The movie will be shot in England and Scotland for 100 days and is slated to release in 2020.
