Following the sexual harassment allegations against Varun Grover, the co-writer for India's first original web series for Netflix, Sacred Games, reports suggest that the streaming brand is contemplating on either removing his name from the credits to the show or might drop the sequel to it, which had been announced recently. The show starred Saif Ali Khan, Radhika Apte and Nawazuddin Siddiqui, among others in pivotal roles and had garnered huge praises all over.

A reliable source from Netflix told in.com, "At this time we are evaluating options on the path forward.” A trade source informed them, "The #MeToo movement is going the Hollywood way. After the news that Reliance is apparently considering dropping Vikas Bahl’s (one of the partners of Phantom,) name from the credits in Super 30, which he is directing, now comes another piece of news. In the light of the recent allegations against one of the writers of Sacred Games, Varun Grover, Netflix is considering some options on how to tackle the situation. They may drop the successful web series completely (which turned around Saif’s career once more) or drop the name of writer."

Varun Grover was alleged by a woman on social media that he tried to harass her during an event, however, Varun has vehemently denied the allegations. Anurag Kashyap and Apurva Asrani had also jumped down to his defence saying that the case must be thoroughly investigated as they know him from a long time and refuse to believe the allegations being made. Varun too posted a detailed response wherein he reiterated that the allegations made against him are absolutely baseless and false.

What ? Noo.
There's no dearth for talent in Bollywood. Don't drop the show.

thoroughly investigate&if found guilty change the writer..pulling it off air will also affect so many other actors who be getting paid for acting in the show.punish the guilty.

Just sign more people. It's not like Bollywood isn't known for it's consistency anyway. And look at like the marvel shows, different writer and director for every episode. Don't cancel it, Netflix!!!

This is getting ridiculous, why cancel the show for one man, and also has anyone proven if he is guilty, I am with all the women but there is also other side and one must hear men too, sometimes women tale advantage of the #metoo movement and talk rubbish. Also in this case, where is that woman, tell her to come forward, this looks like some revenge and nothing else.

I cant believe someone can write an anonymous story on twitter in which even basic facts dont line up and destroy someones career. This is truly fake news like never before. Seriously anyone that knows Varun can see how ridiculous the story is and how Varun could never act in such a cringeworthy way. The person who has made these accusations has now completely disappeared. Will they not be held accountable?

Does he not deserve a trial before being proven guilty. It seems that there isn’t much evidence to convict him

Please contact the woman and make sure the claims are validated. Random anonymous attack is not MeToo its cowardice and malicious targeting.

So now the big question will the audience sacrifice their egarness to satisfy their entertainment.

Varun is innocent. No doubt on that

Oh come on. Why punish the entire team?

I trust Varun Grover...he is not the type.

Nooo! Why need to drop the show, why not just get another writer???

Yes please expose Saif as well., all these actors should be dropped

Saif has nothing to do with this......stop misusing #metoo as an excuse to harm innocent people because of your jealousy fueled hate

Netflix you better not cancel the series. We still need to know what happened to the iconic villain Gaitonde. This show is awesome and we need season 2. Drop the writer and sign someone else, but i think he is innocent. I read his statement and the woman is inconsistent with her story.
