Priyanka Chopra recalls initial days in Bollywood; Says ‘I was yelled at by directors & thrown out of movies’

Priyanka Chopra Jonas is one of the global stars who has managed to make a name for herself in Hollywood as well. In a recent interview, Priyanka recalled her early days in Bollywood and mentioned she was yelled at by directors.

If there is one Bollywood actor who has managed to make a name for herself all across the globe, it is none other than former Miss World, Priyanka Chopra Jonas. The gorgeous star was crowned the Miss World back in 2000 and post that stepped into Bollywood with her first film, Hero: Love Story of a Spy. There was no turning back for the desi girl and she went ahead and did tons of hit films including Dostana, Bajirao Mastani, Mary Kom and more. 

However, success didn’t come easy for the gorgeous star and she also had to struggle in the initial days of her career. In a recent interview with Vogue Magazine, Priyanka opened up about the same and mentioned that in the beginning, there were many times when she was thrown in and out of films. PeeCee even revealed that she was yelled at by her directors. But, she remembered her dad Late Dr Ashok Chopra’s teaching and kept on going. The Sky Is Pink actress revealed that she worked on her confidence and managed to make a mark for herself.

Priyanka said, “I didn’t know anything or anyone. I was yelled at by directors, I was thrown into movies, I was thrown out of movies. “ Recalling her dad’s saying, PeeCee added, “The more you talk, the less you will listen and the less you will learn’...I taught myself confidence. Meanwhile, Priyanka is gearing up for the release of her Bollywood film, The Sky Is Pink and her fans are excited to see her back in the big screen after a long wait. The film stars Farhan Akhtar, Zaira Wasim, Rohit Saraf Suresh apart from Priyanka Chopra Jonas. Directed by Shonali Bose, The Sky is Pink is a love story of Niren and Aditi told from the lens of their spunky and terminally ill teenage daughter, Aisha Chaudhary. It is slated to release on October 11, 2019.
