Priyanka Chopra Jonas stole the spotlight once again with her recent memoir, Unfinished, making headlines around the world for unveiling her much-awaited story. In the book, Priyanka opens up about coping with depression, being a victim of bullying, her initial struggles in the Bollywood industry, and the hardships she has faced to become who she is today. Delving deep into her personal life, Priyanka also shares unseen pictures of her ‘Griha Pravesh’ and dives deep into her future with husband Nick Jonas.

The White Tiger actress recently appeared on a podcast to promote the release of her book. During the chat, Priyanka revealed how she was asked to leave a film for standing up against the gender wage gap. Demanding equal pay as compared to her male co-star, she was told women in movies are ‘interchangeable’ and how there are other girls who will take this opportunity.

Furthermore, she confessed how she was told, 'You know, if you want this job … this is the only way'. The bold actress added, “It took almost 15 years for me to get to that place where, you know, I could stand my ground. It took hearing the conversations from other women banding together to give me the confidence to stand up for myself.”

In Unfinished, Priyanka also threw light on how she belongs to the entertainment business which is patriarchal, and that she had to be very tough. She also said that people enjoy pulling entertainers down when they show their weakness. On the work front, the actress was last seen in The White Tiger co-starring Adarsh Gourav and Rajkummar Rao. It has been directed by Ramin Bahrani.

She’s using every feminist card to write a story in her book. Main thing is, has she written about Akki and SRK or will she twist that too as survival?
