Priyanka revealed how she was confused about what to do next after setting a benchmark with the thriller series Quantico. The actress shared that she instantly clicked with Shonali and the script of the film when the helmer narrated the story to her. She also saw it as an opportunity to collaborate with actor Farhan Akhtar once again after such a long time as the two shared the screen space last in Zoya Akhtar's Dil Dhadakne Do. 

The Sky is Pink is a biographical film starring Priyanka Chopra, Farhan Akhtar, Zaira Wasim and Rohit Suresh Saraf. It is based on the love story of a couple spanning 25 years, told through the lens of their spunky teenage daughter diagnosed with a terminal illness. The film was premiered recently at the Toronto International Film Festival and is all set to release worldwide on October 11 this year.
