Priyanka Chopra Jonas is busy promoting her film The Sky Is Pink. In a recent chat, Priyanka shared what she has to say on the decision taken by her co-star Zaira Wasim to quit Bollywood due to religion.

A film that has been in the news for quite some time now is Priyanka Chopra, Farhan Akhtar, Zaira Wasim, Rohit Suresh Saraf starrer The Sky Is Pink. The film is inspired by the life of Aisha Chaudhary, the youngest motivational speaker and tells the tale of her parents love story spanning 25 years. Ahead of the release of the film, Zaira, who plays Aisha, decided to quit Bollywood for religious reasons and also didn’t want to be a part of the promotions. Now, in a recent interview, Priyanka spoke about her thoughts on Zaira’s decision.

In a chat with Mumbai Mirror, Priyanka spoke up on Zaira’s decision to bid adieu to film industry and mentioned that it was her own personal choice. Chopra also said that she or anyone else are nobody to dictate her decision and shouldn’t be telling her to do or not do something. Priyanka also praised Zaira’s acting skills and mentioned that the team of The Sky Is Pink wishes her the best in life. The Sky Is Pink star spoke candidly about Zaira’s work in past films.

Priyanka said, “It’s a personal choice. Who are we to dictate what someone should & shouldn’t do? She is an amazing actor who has done incredible work. We will always wish her the best.” Zaira wasn’t a part of the film’s premiere at the Toronto Film Festival 2019. Meanwhile, the trailer of The Sky Is Pink left everyone in awe of Aditi and Naren, Aisha’s parents. Aisha suffers from lung disease and due to that, her parent’s marriage goes through various ups and downs. The song, Dil Hi Toh Hai crooned by Arijit Singh and Antara Mitra has won hearts. Now, the promotions of the film kicked off yesterday and Priyanka visited the sets of Dance Deewane 2 as well. The Sky Is Pink is directed by Shonali Bose and is produced by Siddharth Roy Kapur, Ronnie Screwvala. It is slated to release on October 11, 2019.
