The Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry recently split the royal household from Kate Middleton and Prince William. After rumours brewing for a long time, the Buckingham Palace confirmed the split. The split took place due to the separate role of duties Prince Harry and Prince William have currently. But Queen Elizabeth does not approve of the new request made by Meghan Markle and Prince Harry reportedly. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex want to leave Buckingham Palace completely and requested for a total independence from the royal family. According to the reports in Sunday Times, the Queen is unhappy with this new request the couple has put forth.
A royal source commented on the request saying, "They wanted their household to be entirely independent of Buckingham Palace, but were told no. There is an institutional structure that doesn't allow that kind of independence. The feeling is that it's good to have the Sussexes under the jurisdiction of Buckingham Palace, so they can't just go off and do their own thing". Reports are that Prince Charles has also denied the request put forth by The Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry want to focus on their philanthropic work and that is the reason the Duke and Duchess of Sussex requested for 'total royal freedom'. Rumours of Meghan Markle wanting to adopt a child from a third world country also surfaced recently on the internet, but the reports were immediately denied. The couple have been married for 9 months and are currently expecting their first child this spring.
