Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor will be seen collaborating for the first time in a horror flick titled Stree which is being directed by Amar Kaushik.
Stree will be produced by Dinesh Vijan, Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK.
A source told a leading daily, “Stree is based on a ridiculously true phenomenon and will see Shraddha and Raj playing characters, unlike the ones they have done before. The makers wanted to keep the surprise element intact.”
Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha will be flying to Madhya Pradesh to begin shooting for the movie. "The team is off to Chanderi in Madhya Pradesh, where they will shoot the whole movie. This is also the first time a Bollywood film is being shot in the fort town,” the source added.
The source further informs that the team will be in Madhya Pradesh for around 14-15 days to complete the schedule of the movie.
Meanwhile, when Rajkummar was asked about starring in the movie, the actor replied, "I have done a horror film earlier, but it is the first time I am doing a horror comedy."
He had further added, "I am not supposed to talk about it much but it is a horror comedy. It is one-of-its-kind. I really liked the script and that's the reason Shraddha and I said yes to it."
Apart from this, Rajkummar will be seen in Fanne Khan along with Anil Kapoor and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. It is directed by Atul Manjrekar.
On the other hand, Shraddha Kapoor will be seen in Saina Nehwal's biopic. The shooting of the film will go on floors in February. The biopic is being directed by Amol Gupte.
