Ranbir Kapoor created a storm at the box office in 2018 with the blockbuster hit Sanju. Apart from his success at the movies, the actor was also shuffling between India and New York where his dad and veteran actor Rishi Kapoor has been staying for his medical treatment. At a recent event, Ranbir opened up about his dad's health, his upcoming movies and the sale of iconic RK Studios in Mumbai.

Elaborating on his dad's health, Ranbir said, "It has been a hard one year for him. His desire and only endeavour in life is to act in movies. So this one year sabbatical has been a little setback for him. But he is doing really well for himself," reported DNA. Rishi and wife Neetu Kapoor are soon set to return to India as Rishi Kapoor has been recuperating quite well.

Ranbir also touched upon the topic of the recent sale of RK Studios and said that he will take the legacy of RK Studios forward, though he feels sad about the sale. The iconic RK Studios is being sold and will be turned into a housing complex by Godrej in Mumbai. As per reports, Ranbir said, "RK studio was RK studio because of my grandfather (Raj Kapoor). You feel sad that the studio will not be there any more. RK studios is more in spirit and I think I would like to take the legacy forward by producing films and making movies."

Speaking about his films, Ranbir revealed that he is simultaneously shooting for Brahmastra and Shamshera.  "Both of these are big action films and I am not used to that genre, so it's been quite a hard year for me. But I am having fun while shooting. I am equally excited for both the films."

Directed by Ayan Mukerji, Brahmastra also stars Amitabh Bachchan and Alia Bhatt. The film was supposed to release in December 2019, however, it has now been pushed to later date in 2020.

Do feel sad about RK studios, being sold.
