Ranveer Singh is on cloud nine. 2018 was the happiest year for him and his professional and personal life, both being the reason. He had two big releases last year - Padmaavat and Simmba. While Padmaavat released in January last year, and Simmba released in December. In Padmaavat, he played the negative role of Alauddin Khilji and bowled the audience and critics' with his performance. In Simmba, he plays a quirky and intense cop Sangram Bhalerao.

Both the films are the biggest blockbusters of 2018. Simmba is still running successfully and made a collection of Rs 350 crores worldwide. The actor is now geared up for his first release of 2019 - Gully Boy. The trailer was released a few days ago and Singh has impressed everyone with his performance and rapping skills in it. In an interview with DNA, the Gunday actor talked about taking challenges and risks.

Ranveer said that he is always hungry for good cinema and diverse content. He added, "I have realised over time that I like to go through a metamorphosis and become someone else on screen. I can’t play safe and I won’t play safe. It just doesn’t excite me as an artiste, so my content choices seem diverse. I can play a bloodthirsty villain, a cop, to channelising the voice of the streets in Gully Boy. I want to challenge myself, take bigger risks and entertain people who want to pay money to come to theatres to watch a good performance."

Coming to Gully Boy, the film also stars Alia Bhatt and Kalki Koechlin. Directed by Zoya Akhtar, the film hits the screens on February 14, 2019.

OmG let fans and others praise you. Don't praise yourself so much lol.

He is getting full of himself.

Well you are an actor... That's what actors do.. Play different roles...

You can also stay grounded and not spill all over the place.

Your fan, still. But don't know if I'll remain one if you continue with your 'I'm the best (husband and star)' shenanigans.

Excerpts from a single interview and posted across multiple articles days together. It’s not him saying things everyday!
