Ever since Karan Johar announced his historical epic film titled Takht, the film has become one of the most anticipated films of the year. And why not because it is not every day that a director casts an ensemble cast in a film- Kareena Kapoor Khan, Anil Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, Vicky Kaushal, Janhvi Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Bhumi Pednekar. Although the shooting of the film will start sometime next year but the buzz around the film is at an all-time high.

Nowadays, the makers of a film keep all the details about the film under wraps- be it the actors look from the film or deets about their characters, nothing much is revealed. However, at Rajeev Masand’s annual actors’ roundtable, Ranveer Singh, Vicky Kaushal, Rajkummar Rao, Ayushmann Khurrana and Pankaj Tripathi were quizzed about playing negative characters on screen, and Ranveer Singh said that playing Alauddin Khilji in Padmaavat was difficult as “It scared me because I’m not that kind of person.” But during their chat, what caught our fancy was when Ranveer Singh and Vicky Kaushal revealed that while Vicky will be playing the famously controversial Mughal ruler Aurangzeb in Takht, Ranveer, will be playing Aurangzeb’s brother, Dara Shikoh.

According to a report in Times of India, it has been rumored that while Kareena will be playing the role of Dara Shikoh and Aurangzeb’s sister, Jahanara, Anil Kapoor will be playing their father, Shah Jahan and Alia will be playing Dara Shikoh’s wife. Also, Karan Johar had said, “Takht is like the K3G of the Mughal era. But it’s more extreme, there is more betrayal. It has the tropes of court politics. It’s so rich in texture."

After Simmba, Ranveer will begin preparations for Kabir Khan’s ‘83, in which he will play the role of Kapil Dev.

Alia as a queen, and ranveer as a king ,love story, however the HR ,and ash made a very good King and Queen! Next!

KJo desperate to make another Baahubali. LOL!
