Ranveer Singh will be seen next in Kabir Khan's 83. He will be essaying the role of legendary cricketer Kapil Dev. Ranveer is preparing in full swing as he was seen practicing in the nets to get into the skin of the character. Kapil Dev's daughter Amiya Dev is currently assisting Kabir Khan for the film. Amiya is contributing to the film in every way she can. As per the report in Mumbai Mirror, Amiya is working on every aspect of the film starting from the costumes to the schedule. 
 
Sandip Patil's song Chirag Patil who also plays the role of his father in the film praised Amiya's contribution to the film. He said, “We met for the first time while working on the film. She’s from Delhi, I'm from Mumbai and she’s way younger than me. She’s part of our daily training sessions since she is on the direction team. So, she keeps us updating on any meetings we are supposed to attend. Whenever I’m in Kabir’s office, she’s there and is very involved in the process, be it planning the costumes or the schedule". The cast of the film is currently in Dharamshala for 10 days in order to bond among themselves as well as train for the sports film.

Helmed by Kabir Khan, ’83 will portray the story of India's first cricket World Cup win of 1983 under the captaincy of Kapil Dev. Along with Ranveer Singh, Saqib Salim, Ammy Virk, Pankaj Tripathi, Sahil Khattar, Hardy Sandhu and Tahir Raj Bhasin will play the roles of cricketers from the winning team. The film will release on April 10, 2020.
