Bollywood actor Ranvir Shorey, who is well-known for his performances in films like Traffic Signal, Aaja Nachle among others, has time and again spoken about his fall out with the Bhatt family in several interviews. The rift first happened between him and the Bhatt family in the early 2000s and it also impacted Ranvir's career in films. Reportedly, he was in a relationship with Pooja Bhatt but it ended on a bad note, with the actress filing a police complaint against him for allegedly assaulting her.

Now, in a recent interview with Rediff, Ranvir claimed that the Bhatt’s used to talk ill and spread lies about him. Ranvir further explained that he did not choose to ‘make enemies out of them’. When asked about the challenges he had to face after the rift with the Bhatt family, he said, “Firstly, I don't think they are that powerful. Secondly, it's not like I made a choice to make enemies out of them. It was they who did that to protect their child. They started lying about me in public."

He further added, "I had my own fate. They can try to put you down but they can't take away your destiny."

Earlier, Ranvir told Hindustan Times that after his fallout with the Bhatts, he was ‘professionally and socially isolated’. He also said that the Bhatt family would spread false rumours about him being an abuser and alcoholic. Ranvir said it got really toxic for him at the time and he had to leave the country for a while. He used to feel so helpless and powerless because the Bhatt’s are so powerful that the press would just listen to them and not even bother calling him for his side of the story.

You’re an alcoholic abuser who did same to Konkona and she divorced you. Of course they’re gonna protect their daughter and talk bad about you, you expect them to praise you?Only losers brings up decades old story when they’re in the wrong to ride the wave of hate others are receiving.
