Rhea Chakraborty's lawyer welcomes Bombay HC's decision of not quashing FIR against Sushant's sister Priyanka

Rhea Chakraborty's lawyer welcomes Bombay HC's decision of not quashing FIR against Sushant's sister Priyanka

It has been almost 8 months since Sushant Singh Rajput left for his heavenly abode but the debates and controversies revolving around his death continue to surface in the news. In the midst of all this, the Bombay High Court has quashed an FIR which was filed against the late actor’s sister Meetu Singh. However, the FIR filed against his other sister Priyanka by Rhea Chakraborty has not been dismissed. The bench of judges added that prima facie has been found against Singh.

For the uninitiated, Rhea had filed a complaint against Sushant’s sisters and a doctor from Delhi last year over getting fake prescriptions for the late actor. Meanwhile, her lawyer Satish Manshinde has now welcomed the decision taken by the court in regard to Priyanka Singh. He said in a statement that they are satisfied with the verdict. Maneshinde further added that Rhea’s cry for justice and truth has finally prevailed. Meanwhile, the bench of judges who announced the same is Justice Karnik and Justice Shinde.

Rhea Chakraborty had filed this complaint last year in September just a day before she herself got arrested by the NCB owing to the procurement of drugs. She was released on bail later on. In fact, her brother Showik Chakraborty also got arrested in connection with the same. He was granted bail much later than his sister. As of now, the actress seems to be getting back to her normal routine as she is often snapped stepping out and about in the city.
